Backstory

The Beach House, in the historical Headland, Hartlepool, is a quaint three-bedroom house settled on Marine Drive which has some history. During World War II, the nearby old Steetley Magnesia Works, now long gone was a prime target for German bombs but fortunately, unlike some other houses on Marine Drive, The Beach House survived and was never hit by the Jerries!

The Headland has many cool historical sites, like the 14th century Town Wall, near the Pot House Pub, where legend has it that during the Napoleonic Wars of the early 19th century, a shipwrecked monkey was hanged by the people of Hartlepool, believing him to be a French spy!
